The India-Israel Afghanistan Nexus Exposed: Unmasking the Disinformation Campaign Against Pakistan and China
In early March 2026, as the tensions rattled in the Middle East and South Asian region, The Diplomat published an article by its South Asia editor, Sudha Ramachandran. She introduced her interview subject, Ajmal Sohail, as a neutral “counterterrorism expert.” The two of them fabricated an outrageously illogical conspiracy theory that Pakistan’s ISI is using the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP) to attack Chinese interests in the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan. Analyzing the article as objective journalism would be a fatal mistake. It is a coordinated piece of information warfare, stenography for hostile intelligence agencies.

From the perspective of the disastrous regional incidents in March 2026, the war in Iran, the assassination of the Ayatollah, the highly suspicious visit of Indian Prime Minister Modi to Israel just 24 hours before that strike, and the bloody, ongoing border war between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the real intent of this Diplomat article is revealed. It is a desperate smokescreen thrown by a newly solidified India- Israel-Afghanistan alliance.
Decoding the Real Axis of Terror: India, Israel, and the Afghan Taliban
One can only identify the dishonesty in Ramachandran’s article if one pays attention to the timing. The Middle East is ablaze. The killing of the Iranian Supreme Leader has plunged Iran into a full-scale war. It cannot be by chance that Indian PM Modi was in Tel Aviv just one day before the strike that killed the leader of Iran. The military and intelligence cooperation between India and Israel is hardly a secret anymore; it is a fully operational, belligerent alliance moving together.
With Iran burning to the West, this axis is in a rush for two things:
- To make sure that Iran’s eastern border (Afghanistan) could serve as a base for Israeli intelligence (Mossad) and Indian intelligence (RAW).
- To keep Pakistan, the only nuclear-armed Muslim state, constantly struggling with a two-front war, fighting the Afghan Taliban on the western border, and at the same time facing a very high level of terrorist activities of TTP, BLA, and ISKP in the internal areas.
The Diplomat article is trying to portray the Afghan Taliban as victims of Pakistani aggression by citing “intercepted weapons” and Pakistani airstrikes. This is a complete turning around of the facts.
By March 2026, Pakistan is battling a multi-front war for its very existence. The Afghan Taliban have not remained passive neighbors; they have completely transformed into facilitators of the India, Israel proxy war. By giving the TPP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) complete sanctuary, advanced weapons, and operational freedom, the Kabul regime is directly responsible for the repeated killings of Pakistani civilians and army personnel.
Why is the “Islamic Emirate” facilitating this? The reason is that New Delhi’s highly praised “soft diplomacy” in Kabul is, in fact, cold, hard cash. India has brought back its spy networks in Afghanistan, buying the Taliban’s complicity to keep Pakistan’s western border burning. Israel is a big winner through this deal: it ensures that the only nuclear-armed Muslim country remains stuck in a brutal war of attrition with Afghanistan, whereas Tel Aviv manages the Middle East.
Pakistan’s recent airstrikes inside Afghanistan were not “messages to China, ” as Sohail ridiculously suggests. They were legitimate acts of self-defense aimed at completely destroying the TTP terror camps that the Afghan Taliban have still not agreed to dismantle.
Ajmal Suhail as an Israeli Asset: The Mitvim Connection
Sudha Ramachandran commits a glaring journalistic malpractice by hiding Sohail’s true affiliations. Firstly, Sohail is the founder of the Afghan Liberal Party and secondly, a documented political operative who has, among other things, lobbied quite openly to make Afghanistan a covert playground of Israeli intelligence.
In a highly revealing conversation with Mitvim (The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies), Sohail laid bare his function in enabling Israeli infiltration into South and Central Asia:
- Advocating Covert Subversion: Deeply cognizant of the Afghan people’s profound support for Palestine, Sohail suggested the Israeli entities to work stealthily in the country: “I recommend to both sides not to make huge media announcements. Do it slowly and grow.”
- The Anti- Iran/Anti-Pakistan “Counter-Weight”: Sohail seemed to be encouraging Israel to consider their use of Afghanistan as a base against its neighbors. He disclosed to his Israeli counterparts that certain Afghans regard Israel as a “potential ally for establishing a counter-weight against those countries.”
- Economic Fronts for Intelligence: In fact, he was so desperate that he implored Israel to break into Afghanistan’s “banking, mining, and alternative livelihoods”, typical Mossad covers for cyber, surveillance, intelligence posts, and terror, financing cells.
- Ignoring Genocide: He callously turned down the Palestinians as a way of getting closer to Tel Aviv and said that the Palestinians “have no direct geopolitical…impact on Afghanistan.”
When Indian media channels ask Sohail “to analyze” Pakistan, they are giving a platform to a man whose aim, as per his own admission, is to set up Israeli geostrategic infrastructure right at the borders of Iran, China, and Pakistan, backed by the Taliban’s intelligence incapacity.
The Psychological Projection: The Sheer Absurdity of Pakistan Targeting China
Pakistan is at war against Taliban terrorists who threaten its very existence. Against this backdrop, the main argument in the Diplomat article, which is that ISI is supplying ISKP with weapons for the attacks on the Chinese mining companies, collapses into absolute, laughable absurdity.
- CPEC is Pakistan’s Lifeline: In the time of worldwide disorder and a potential regional war, China acts as Pakistan’s “Iron Brother”. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is the base on which Pakistan’s economic and military existence relies. The notion that the government of Islamabad would commit acts of terrorism against Chinese people so as to “remind Beijing that Pakistan continues to be an important gatekeeper” is a suicidal fantasy that goes against any strategic logic.
- Who is really targeting China? The first thing to do is to check the actual facts. It turns out that the very same groups that are killing Chinese engineers in Pakistan are the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the TTP. And they happen to be the very groups that RAW has historically funded and that are still enjoying safe havens under the Afghan Taliban.
- Sohail’s story is a typical psychological projection. The India- Israel-Afghanistan trio are projecting their own scheme of disrupting China’s integration through Pakistan. They are attempting to create a rift between Beijing and Islamabad precisely when Pakistan is shedding blood to safeguard Chinese investments.
ISKP as the Ultimate Proxy for Tel Aviv and New Delhi
Perhaps the most outrageous lie in the conversation was the effort to connect ISKP with Pakistan’s ISI and the Kashmir, centered Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Let’s check the facts of 2026: ISKP is well, known for being anti-Pakistan and anti-Iran. It carried out the dreadful February suicide bombing at a Shia mosque in Islamabad, and it has continuously targeted Iranian facilities.
Ask cui bono: who profits, who benefits? Why does the ISKP’s list of targets (China, Iran, and Pakistan) be in perfect agreement with the strategic hit, list of the Modi, Netanyahu axis?
To claim that Pakistan is using ISKP as a tool to fight the BLA, Sohail and Ramachandran are making a clear case of an intelligence ploy:
- They are trying to portray BLA (a group of recognized terrorists who kill Chinese and Pakistani citizens) as “victims” of ISKP to give them some sort of justification.
- By falsely linking ISKP to LeT, they are trying to involve Pakistan in Western counter-terrorism sanctions.
- Furthermore, they are giving plausible deniability to the real intelligence agencies (RAW and Mossad) who are using ISKP as a weapon to destabilize the region while the Middle East is on fire.
The Playbook Exposed
Sudha Ramachandrans piece in The Diplomat hardly counts as journalism; on the contrary, it’s a targeted psychological warfare tactic. For one, she deliberately concealed Ajmal Sohail’s extensive connections with Israeli intelligence think, tanks and moreover his secret plan to invisibly spreading Israeli interests in Afghanistan (“Do it slow and grow”) from the public. So, in a way, she has been selling state, sponsored disinformation.
The war that has broken out in Iran and the Afghan Taliban’s aggressive support for terrorism inside Pakistan highlight the fact that the world especially Beijing must see this pretense for what it really is. The storyline that Pakistan is turning its gun on its closest ally China by utilizing a terrorist group that has been killing Pakistani citizens, is a complete fabrication and a diversion. It aims at misleading the world to the extent that the actual danger is not recognized: emboldened blood-thirsty India-Israel nexus, with complete support from Kabul, is conspiring to transform the entire region into a proxy base to be used for the destruction of Iran, continue bleeding of Pakistan, and prevent China’s rise in South Asia.
